Just 4 you . . .

My eldest daughter is in England at Uni..having a great time and is really bad at keeping in touch..she's living her life...and that's fine...we just miss her (and if you read this Minger...phone home)...oops...I'm always sending her stuff...and she does write occasionally.....anyhow I suddenly thought my youngest baby girl is still here and I hadn't sent her anything...so the other day I sent her this little card in the post....needless to say she loves it and it is now her bookmark......There is something really quite magical about receiving something nice by good old fashioned "SnailMail".....a letter or package that has a stamp on it.....

We sometimes don't thank the people that we see all the time, the ones that in so many little ways make our days that much brighter....

This was the back of the envelope that the card was in....just a little bit of nonsense.... warms the heart and goes a long way to saying thank you for always being there...it's the time we give to others that is precious..... oooh, get me, I've gone all mushy...better snap out of that "tout de suite".......can't think what came over me.....good job Maud's not about, she'd probably give me a slap....

I have entered back of envelope to Web of Whimsy's Whimsical Wednesday and Sunday Sketches

Precious, precious and most wonderful...I wish my mother would have sent me something like that! Oh wait, she didn't like to draw, color, blah. blah....I would've taken scribbles!!! I used to send her stuff in the snailmail all the time, even though I saw her all the time...it's about that hopeful piece of sunshine waiting to be opened just for you! Great Mom award goes out to YOU!!!!!!

This is so sweet - lucky girl to have such a talented mum! I love getting snail mail and wish we could go back to old-fashioned letters sometimes...

Great job.

Well, tell your daughter from me to get her finger out and type you an email at the very least! When I was at Uni (20 years ago - eek) we had one phone per hall of residence (120 students). There was always a long queue! Oh those days before mobile phones and email... We used to get loads of letters though - every morning we had the post checking ritual.

ah, this is adorable! I would turn it into a book mark too, simply so that I can see it often. Love what you did to the envelope too, such a fun mom you are!

I love snail mail, absolutely adore it. Unfortunately I am not able to get that message across to those who are nearest and dearest aka my mum!!! (not complaining though :D )

The envelope is darling! Fat cat sat on a mat is one of my kids' favorite books. I think I enjoy it more than them when I am allowed to read it lol

This reminds me of a pretty gift I just got from my blog fellow friend. She is such a nice long-distance friend who constantly mails me small gifts. I feel I'm not good enough to deserve her kindness. But this can be changed. I'm going to be a better person and be her good friend :-)

Hope you get the call soon!
