Bonjour from France. . .

I seem to have lots of WIP's at the moment, so I thought I'd share a couple of girlies that I finished a while ago...these two girlies have flown off to new homes, taking a little bit of France with them... :)

 I'm thinking of turning them into postcards and selling them in my Etsy Shop that I keep promising to open...It's on my mega list of things to do....

This is part of my homework for Gina's class...really pleased with the way this little chap turned out.

Mr Fox and my little bird were both fighting for centre stage (below)...my lovely friend Christine suggested that I darken the background....and voila...much better now (above)... "Why did I not think of that?" der...

That's all the "Fun and Nonsense" from me today...I off to worship the teeny tiny ray of sunshine that is trying to poke through the clouds...yippee.....xxxx

Surviving. . .

If you see a fairy ring

In a field of grass,

Very lightly step around

Tip-toe as you pass,

Last night fairies frolicked there

And they're sleeping somewhere near.

If you see a tiny fairy

Lying fast asleep

Shut your eyes

And run away,

Do not stay to peek!

I haven't had much time to blog and leave messages this last week...just life in general getting in the way... I survived my sporty cycling weekend.... I cycled 45km on the Saturday...fortunately Mr Hollywood pushed me up the hills...most of the 45k was on the flat...Hooray for small mercy's...I had a very sore behind.... The following day we cycled 25k...swapped my bike for a bike with a much bigger softer saddle. My behind was very thankful... :)

I have been cramming every spare second into artwork.... and this has been the result...

This is an odd one...I've got my eye on you...I wanted the bird to be in the forefront...but Mr Fox is overpowering...They are both fighting for front position...just can't make Fox go back.... never mind...

Fairy and Fox. . .

I'm doing two courses at the same time...is that bad or good? My head is bursting with ideas, colours, fairies, unicorns, witches, birds, butterflies, foxes and squirrels, you name it, I want to capture it on paper.... there is so much noise going on that it's hard to sleep. I just want to be in my "Art Bunker" with my imagination and my magic wands...my day job is getting in the way of creating....  grrrrr!

I'm off tomorrow evening on a cycling weekend to a beautiful part of France...the friends that we're going with are all quite fit and sporty...I'm rubbish and I have very short legs...Mr Hollywood used to be a semi-professional cyclist....I'm going to suffer big time.... My legs and bum are already hurting just thinking about it....hope they just leave me on the side of the road with my sketch pad and paints!!!!! am praying for lots of wine too...medicinal purposes of course...

There is sure to be some Fun and Nonsense this weekend...:) xx

Inspiration...

Bonjour...something a little different... I've started Gina Rossi Armfield's Creativity in Flight course....I'll share my bird sketches when they are finished.  For now I'll say, Gina and my fellow classmates have sparked something new in me that I didn't know was there...my very first natural watercolour sketches...got a lot of my inspiration from Laura's blog Where the Gold Bees Dream.  Laura's flora and fauna photos are beautiful...  what's inspiring you at the moment?.....

Night time. . .

Wow, it's Sunday again... where has this week gone... it  seems to have flown by in a blink of an eye... my holiday is over and I'm back to school tomorrow...Bank Holiday on Tuesday, no school on Wednesday then back to school Thursday and Friday....life's tough...

Baa. . .

Hello Duckies... the SUN has been shinning all day.... miracle! So you would think I'd be in the garden worshipping the sun....oh no not I.  I was in the loft/attic rummaging around finding treasures and rubbish. The sun is supposed to be shinning again tomorrow...and you'll find me in the loft/attic...still sorting out the rubbish from the treasures....so for now I leave you with this little watercolour I did, while I was holed up in my Art Bunker whilst it rained and rained....rained....They are supposed be Lincoln Longwool sheep...(you would never have guessed if I hadn't told you)
