Surviving. . .

If you see a fairy ring
In a field of grass,
Very lightly step around
Tip-toe as you pass,
Last night fairies frolicked there
And they're sleeping somewhere near.

If you see a tiny fairy
Lying fast asleep
Shut your eyes
And run away,
Do not stay to peek!
Do not tell
or you'll break a fairy spell!

I don't know who the author is of this lovely poem....

I haven't had much time to blog and leave messages this last week...just life in general getting in the way... I survived my sporty cycling weekend.... I cycled 45km on the Saturday...fortunately Mr Hollywood pushed me up the hills...most of the 45k was on the flat...Hooray for small mercy's...I had a very sore behind.... The following day we cycled 25k...swapped my bike for a bike with a much bigger softer saddle. My behind was very thankful... :)

I have been cramming every spare second into artwork.... and this has been the result...

This is an odd one...I've got my eye on you...I wanted the bird to be in the forefront...but Mr Fox is overpowering...They are both fighting for front position...just can't make Fox go back.... never mind...

Have a good week....and don't let the rain get in the way of your "Fun and Nonsense"  xx

What a lovely new trend in your work! Really digging each and every piece. As far as your bird and fox I believe the struggle is between the background and the foreground and if the background were darker it would push the fox backwards and pop out the bird. Just an observation and there in a no money back guarantee with my advice- if it doesn't work you get no money back:)

ooh- especially around the bird legs and up under the fox's nose- I meant to say that:)

so glad you survived the bike outing! That is a lot of cycling if you are not use to it. I think my bum would be sore after an hour.

i love each of your pieces ms. C! They are wonderful.

glad you survived the bike outing... sounds like torture but that means you have burned up so much energy you will need lots of chocolate for the next week to recuperate.... love the page with the fairy and the bird... it is really fabulous...xx

Awesome work Catherine! Your faeries are so cute! Are you taking Joynal? I wanted to take that class but I'm still working my way through Supplies Me and I ♥ Drawing plus Creativity in Flight! And doing the 21 Secrets! Are we crazy to take more than one? Probably, lol! But, I also feel one can never have too much inspiration! :)

Your paintings are wonderful, Catherine. Each one is lovely. Like the bird/fox combo, too.

Glad you found a better bike for your behind. hee :)

Catherine, I would definitely stay to look at the fairies. Is there a magic door to get into your paintings? :)
I liked the bird:fox equation because of the power in both of them.
