Good Morning, here is a page from my joynal. The two girlies standing together were printed on acid free tissue paper that I popped through my printer (the tissue paper edges were masking taped to ordinary copier paper before I put it through the printer), then I used clear gesso to stick the tissue paper down in my joynal.
It's a beautiful day today and I would love to stay in my bunker and paint or be in the garden...but no... I'm off to school to finish costumes and decor for the end of school play at the end of the week. Yay...then I'm on holiday for two whole months... I'm so lucky..... :D
Hope everyone at Sunday Sketches is having a little "Fun and Nonsense" today... xx

Catherine, I love your little girls! This page of your joynal is wonderful. Have a wonderful and creative day xoxo
They really are adorable.
Are the unicorn and fairy still there too? I did keep very quiet (although my typing is a bit on the rackety side).
cute pages, Catherine! Thanks for the idea of how to copy tissue paper.
printing to tissue paper I mean.
adorable as always. lucky you enjoy your holiday! hugs!!

i have not tried this yet, but sense it will be wonderful.

Love your pages!! The girls are adorable!!! I have been enjoying working on journal pages lately.
didnt really understand the details about the paper but a beautiful piece nonetheless..so is the Unicorn one! :)
Hi Constance, fun to work with the tissue paper, isn't it?
OH Catherine, I really adore your girls. Even the one with the unicorn prior to this post. Awww. I LOVE LOVE the little red bows on her dress here. Something about a splash of red in paintings...movin to me. Hugs :)
So sorry I am late and have been neglectful but the flu is taking us down one by one... thank goodness for winter break so we don't have to do anything... I wish we were heading into two weeks break... can't wait to see lots of drawing and painting from you... in the meantime I love the idea of taping down the tissue paper... have to give that a go...xx
These girls are exquisite (love their hair and their round cheeks) and I also love that the hair looks sheer in parts where you can see other part of the design coming through the paper. These are very creepy cute--in a good way!
And wow you really are lucky to have a whole summer to focus on your art. I'm going to try to pack as much art as I can during my day off for July 4th!
Cool. I like the tissue paper idea. It adds a cool texture. Have fun.
this is a bit fabulous, Catherine.
(and oh my, 2 months holidays. i am so so jealous. in a good way :)
