Christmas wrapping paper...

I love to decorate my own Christmas paper... it all started with that usual chestnut... no money and not wasting money on something that will be torn up and thrown away.  I remember my Nan, saving birthday and Christmas wrapping paper and storing it under the stair cupboard... She had lived through the Second World War and had come from a time when recycling didn't even have a name.  It was just the norm and everyone did it. I now save pretty paper, when it comes my way and store it under my desk, a little less musty and dusty...

But for something really personal I make my own wrapping paper...
I use plain old brown paper, it's cheap and goes a long long way and can be used for all occasions on any occasion... My Angel isn't finished, I've used pencils, felt tips and acrylic paint and of course Glitter gel, where would we be with out glitter gel... when she's dry she will get the works.....

This is a CD wrapped in brown paper (I can say that coz Mr Hollywood doesn't read English yet) anyway, felt pens and more glitter.....hey presto pretty Christmas paper that didn't cost an arm and a leg..... and isn't it the thought that counts.....

Hey Sis, love the wrapping, it was always one of your strengths - makes the unwrapping so much more enjoyable, opening the gift without wrecking the wrapping. A couple of years ago, I used brown paper as the Xmas table cloth! My decorations were random xmas pictures drawn in thick black texter. Doesn't sound great but it was very effective. Hugs, wish we were all together - maybe next year xxx
