Tea time . . .

Boogie Bedhead thought that Spencer Dubs would never speak to her again after Toggle behaved so badly when he went all lunar at the Moon Crater Cafe........ Well, Spencer popped in this afternoon for a cup of tea and said that there was nothing to worry about, he should have warned Boogie that space travel can make dogs a little spacey.... no harm done...

Boogie had just poured a lovely cup of tea for Spencer when suddenly the teapot and teacup started to magically dance about.....oh I say... there's some funny goings on here!....
Will Boogie and Spencer ever get to share a quiet romantic tea time break?

Hope you enjoy my Teatime Fun that I've made for Mr Toast's Creative Tuesday's ... my very first teeny tiny film.....

A little bit naughty. . .

Fiona the Fairy has her farty face on . . .

My lovely teenage daughter helped me with my doodling yesterday afternoon... I sketched this little fairy and Ellen wrote the words (on the opposite page in pencil - "Farty Faced Fairy - Fiona the Fairy has her farty face on"). Mother daughter effort...
Ellen said she looked like she'd just farted..... I did my Mother  tut tut, said she was naughty and then we giggled like five year olds..... windy pop noises still make me giggle...

I thought I'd share the giggle moment with you and all at Sophia's lovely Sunday Sketches... I'm posting early as Mr Hollywood is taking Moi and naughty Ellen to Bordeaux tonight for dinner. We'll be staying with friends.. so won't be back till sometime tomorrow...

What I did at school today . . .

As many of you know, I work in a rural French school. The school is like a step back in time.  In the attempt to cheer the place up a bit, we decided to paint some games on the floor and wall.
So this week I painted a hopscotch...
A twister . . . to tangle the children up . . . that should keep them busy. . .
and one of my girlies who isn't quite finished and lots of circles...
She is of course blowing bubbles...
This wall is the first thing you see when you get to the school gates.
The children throw balls at the wall and hit the circles... large, medium and teeny tiny ones...
helps with hand eye throwing co-ordination.
Yes the wall is yuck but no funds to re-paint the entire wall and someone had decided to paint some circles before I had had a chance to jet wash the wall first..... so it is as it is.....
To the left of the photo you can see three panels... that's the school art room, where I spend most of my days... the inside is a lot brighter than the outside.
I'm posting this today and will be sharing for Paint Party Friday....

Birthday Wishes. . .

Hi everyone, I thought I'd show you these cards I made yesterday for a young lady and a gentleman who's birthday is today... (they are both ballet dancers - hence the theme...)

My little ballerina's move...I cut round their bodies and then drew some legs and cut round them, then attached bodies, legs and card with a butterfly clip..(hope this makes sense...) I drew the stars direct onto the card.... and voila... Dancing ballerina's with stars..... look forward to popping over to Sunday Sketches that is being hosted by Heather at Rose Hill Designs to see what you have all been upto.... I'm really late with this post as unfortunately I spent all of Sunday being ill...I didn't go near my computer once...am feeling a bit better to day.... hope you all have good a good week..

Odd Socks . . .

Bonjour everyone..... managed to make it to Paint Party Friday... with Little Miss Washday Suzie...she's having a terrible time...she put pairs of her favourite socks in the wash machine but only one of each came out.... this isn't the first time it has happened either. She's so annoyed coz it's never her not favourite socks....humf...

I told her to use a washbag...then the naughty Sock Monster that lives in her washing machine can't pinch them...

When my children were younger, we regularly lost one sock in the washing machine.....my eldest daughter still wears odd socks to this day.....she's 20yrs old now.....  Does this problem only affect us or does anyone else out there have a washing machine sock monster?....  Hope you are all having a good Paint Party Friday...

Moon . . . Creative Tuesday's

Boogie Bedhead was thrilled to bits when she received an invitation from Spencer Dubs to have tea at the Moon Crater Cafe on the Moon ......
Boogie and Spencer were having a lovely time gazing at the night sky....when Toggle went a bit lunar and chased the poor waiter round and round the cafe..... Boogie thought it best to get Toggle back down to earth before anyone decided that MoonDog Pie might be a good thing to put on the menu....

Pop over and see what everyone has come up with for Mr Toast's Creative Tuesday's "Moon"....

Sunday Sketches . . .

Thank you to everyone for the kind comments left over the last few days....one good thing to come out of the rioting...it has brought  communities together and hopefully made them stronger....there are still a lot more good people out there than bad.....

I've been playing with good old fashioned watercolour paints then added watersoluble pastels and pencils....my silver birch tree is appalling and so are the leaves in the background and my girl is looking a bit blank...but I'm liking the bugs and Mr Gecko....
"Ok Ladies...back up....I'm bigger"
"Oh, dear, Mr Gecko, everyone knows that males are so much better at reversing......"

This was inspired by a comment that Geckstone left ....about being distracted by bugs and stuff....take a look at her wonderful skink....amazing colours...

Looks like she's on a mission....not a masterpiece but I like the colours....reminds me of autumn.....uggg..

Pop over to Sophia's Sunday Sketches that is being hosted this week by Heather at Rose Hill Designs and have a peek at what everyone has been up too......

Yellow Brick Road . . .

What happened to the happy "Follow the Yellow Brick Road" fairy tale... somehow it soured along the way...

The rioting in London made me want to cry this week.... I grew up in Croydon....it was a safe place to be... people worked hard for what they had, we didn't have mobile phones, computers...most families only had one car....If we didn't have something, we didn't have it....we didn't assume it was our right to have what someone else had......as kids we darn't misbehave... 1.  It didn't occur to us to destroy our neighbourhood.... 2. What ever we did was reported back to Parents or grandparents....

I would like to see the thugs that went out rioting apologise to people face to face and be made to clean up their mess.....unfortunately I expect they will be put in "Correctional Facilities" for a week or two and told Tut Tut not nice please don't do it again.......

I'm a day early, but I shall be adding this to Paint Party Friday....

Morag in colour. . .

Here's Morag in colour.... Battie thing is staying uncoloured for the time being..... he's a Wozbat but for now won't tell me his name.... he did whisper it to me sometime in the middle of the night...but by this morning I had forgotten it....hopefully he'll whisper it again when my ears make contact with my brain.... I have a very rough story outlined for her...just need time to sit and concentrate ....um where have I heard that before...

Hope you are all having very creative days and getting lots done..... I did manage to get my grey hairs painted out, that seems to take more and more time.. and I also baked muffins... Mr H has been bugging me... I've been getting the "If you loved me enough you would bake muffins..." Pathetic.... so I baked muffins..... :) I obviously love him enough..... I expect next week I'll have to love him enough and bake a walnut cake....

Morag and Bat thing . . .

I went to keep Mr H company this morning while a job that was supposed to take 1 1/2 hours tops took 3hrs... (why do men always underestimate the time a job will take by half?). While I was waiting patiently I decided to attack my doodling in a different way......so below right I shut my eyes and did a doodle, then fiddled with trying to make my lines into something and "Voila".... a sort of bat creature came to be... I then decided to draw him full frontal.... then obviously a little girl popped out... she's called Morag....have no idea why she looks so sad.... but Battie thing took to her straight away..... I think he's saying "Love me, love me... I'll be your friend...."
Checkout what all the other lovely Sunday Sketchers have been up to.....

Paint Party Friday . . .

Hi everyone,  I've managed to squeeze a little me time in over the last couple of evenings and these are my little doodles.... Book Girl was looking a bit dull till I drowned the poor girl in gloss varnish...she suddenly popped out of the telephone directory...so I tried it on Safari Girl and friends and it brightened them up too...
Once I had finished printing I'm off to India! but I'l be home in time for tea! I realised it was very late and my "M's" had mistakenly turned into "N's"... so Safari girl is either a bit snooty....or dyslexic like me... I suspect she's a little bit of both....

How things have changed...when I was growing up dyslexia was something to be ashamed of and certainly not University material - dyslexic's were just "Thick", now dyslexic's who go to University get i mac's.... so glad something's have changed for the better.... :)

It's Paint Party Friday and popping along there...Love a Party....

Owls. . . 1 2 3 . . .

Bonjour everyone.... I should be clearing out the little bedroom, where I just happen to have my crafty corner (spreading out over the whole bedroom) my office etc... I promised I would re-paint the room ... oh why oh why do I open my big mouth and jump head first into things..... I will .....clear it out tomorrow....when I have more time....la la la...

Anyhow, thought I would share with you this little bookmark that was just crying out to be made....so much more fun than packing stuff away.... The card with the slot is a price tag that I saved (good quality thick card), then some leaf paper I had in my stash cut to size and wrapped round.... My little owls were drawn on paper from the telephone directory.....then a little stamping went on...a bit of a string...whipped out the old sewing machine and machined the leaf and owl onto the string.... EASY PEASY LEMON SQUEEZZY... et Voila!!
One Owl bookmark that will be winging it's little way off to a dear friend very soon....

If I've inspired any of you to make your own bookmarks (get the kids involved in this - they'll love it), please let me know and I'll post your creations on my blog...have a good day everyone.....

Ice Cream . . .

Looks like Boogie Bedhead and Toggle are enjoying their summer break by the seaside. Here they are each enjoying a delicious  ice-cream cone with a 99 Flake. The ice-cream van man couldn't stop laughing when Boogie asked for a Zoom ice lolly to attract the fish....She and Toggle didn't like the idea of hooking worms....and everyone likes Zoom multi-coloured ice lollies.... "It's a well known fact...so there!"
Creative Tuesday is here so pop along and see what wonderful ice-cream ideas everyone has come up with....

Our lovely friend Sophia at Sunday Sketches is feeling very down today so pop over there and  leave her words of encouragement that things will get better....Send her a smile :)
