That's better. . .

This is part of my homework for Gina's class...really pleased with the way this little chap turned out.
Mr Fox and my little bird were both fighting for centre stage (below)...my lovely friend Christine suggested that I darken the background....and voila...much better now (above)... "Why did I not think of that?" der...

That's all the "Fun and Nonsense" from me today...I off to worship the teeny tiny ray of sunshine that is trying to poke through the clouds...yippee.....xxxx

I also like the way your little chap turned out, wonderful piece.
yea, you continued on with your fox piece and are happy, that is wonderful. I have to see if i can find your email address. I had ordered a book from the library and it came Monday and it has a cover that you might enjoy seeing!

I hope your behind has recovered by now lol. I am glad it wasn't me doing that cycle ride.
I love the animals you have been drawing and what a great tip on making the background dark to push Mr Fox into the background!

All the difference- that darker background! Isn't it funny how we are 'so on top of' our work that we can't see it? I was just walking by Headless Amy who I haven't looked at in months now and said "Amy, dear, your faux head is way too tiny and its going to have to come off." My children are glad I don't say things like that to them!
Have you ever been to Cara Mia Bella's blog? She does a lot of naturalistic bird/owls and botanicals on very strong backgrounds. You would enjoy her site, as do I.

Both works are so lovely! I especially love the little birdie. I'm so behind on the class...doubtful I'll catch up so I'll just enjoy your art instead. :)
