Picking apples . . .

Wow, what a Paint Party Friday... thank you to Kristin and Eva... thank you to everyone that left a comment. It was great to see familiar faces and  really good to meet so many new people.... I saw some fantastic paintings...you are all so talented... I'm so pleased that everyone enjoyed a class or two of "Château Bubbly Darlings".  Looking forward to next Friday.....

Follow me to the lovely Sophia 's Sunday Sketches and see what everyone has been up to .. . To answer your question Sophia, I have no idea where my ideas come from.... my head is full of stuff and nonsense...."complete chaos in there" so I was told by a faith heeler once..... at least he didn't tell me my head was empty... a silver lining to everything.... LOL

I was trying to play around with perspective.... I was pretending to be a bug looking up.... I'm pleased with this... but... it's not quite right... need to work on it.... she just looks like she has whopping big feet...

One of my biggest fans is my gorgeous niece Boogie Bear who lives in upside down land... I know she checks in regularly to see what I have been up too.... Boogie it was great to see all your friends and hope you had a good sleepover... and HUGE BIG WELL DONE YOU FOR WINNING THE SCHOOL ART AWARD for BEST ACHIEVEMENT in ART over the year and fantastic prize of 250 Aus dollars.... that's my girl...
big Sloppy kisses I'm sending to you.....xxxxxxx

Catherine, before I read the portion under your sketch I was thinking that I loved the perspective on this and then saw that you had posted about it. I think it looks good and I got it right away. So don't worry, she does not look like she just has big feet. lol

Happy Sunday!

This is a great picture, love the perspective and yes her feet look huge but from a bugs point of view they would.

I like it :D particulalry the feet.

Maybe it feels off a little because I think the perspective might be that of a mouse or small cat rather than a bug. I get the impression that the perspective starts at about ankle height. ::shrug:: Maybe, I'm not sure. Eith way, I like it. It's quirky :D

Nutty
(I'm lousy at perspective myself, so go you for achieving what you have :D)

That's a hard perspective to pull off, but I think you did it. Definitely looks like you are looking up at her, to me. I like it, lots!
And congrats to your niece on her art win!

FABULOUS perspective in this one. Really well done and so successful at drawing the eye in with those awesome shoes and then upwards. You make it feel like we are reaching with her.

You are brave to try playing around with perspective! I did it once, with my camera. It's harder sketching it! I love this sketch! YOu did a very nice job, and it's so intriguing!

That perspective is very fun and whimsical.

It may not be what you were looking for but it is great! I think the feet WOULD look that huge from a bug's point of view...it's cute! The apples reminded me of my birth place of Ohio; a lot of apple orchards in Ohio.

This is fabulous! I felt like I was watching one of those cartoons where the character is being sucked up a tube, stretch, stretch, stretch a bit more, then whoosh gone (with sound effects). Boogie Bear loves that you mentioned her on your blog and thanks everyone for their congratulations.
